Unlocking media buying on iOS with Upptic’s Privacy Model

Any mobile marketer advertising on iOS since the release of iOS 14.5 and App Tracking Transparency (ATT) in 2021 has suffered from decreased advertising signal on iOS.

Specifically, a large subset of users are opting out of being tracked by various apps and their corresponding ad network. This means your mobile attribution provider (MMP) is underreporting (in the case of SANs networks) or misreporting (if you’re using fingerprinting) the installs and revenue attributed channels to your ad channels on iOS.

Consequently, you’ll see many ad channels appear to drastically miss their targets if you look at attribution data alone.

However,  these networks likely performing much better when you correctly model for your users who have opted out of tracking.
